Today I’m sharing some photos from my recent trip to Iceland with 4 friends. I brought my brand new mirrorless Sony a6000 which I bought right before this trip and I LOVE. I purchased it for travel and personal use so that I won’t always have to be lugging my Nikon around with me. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great travel camera and if you’re interested you can check it out here. All of these were taken either with my Sony or GoPro Hero 5 (which I also love).
Iceland is such a hot destination recently and we had several friends who had gone before us give us tips. Our airfare and housing were extremely affordable but everything else in Iceland was extremely expensive. On our first day, we went to the Blue Lagoon which is on the way from Keflavik airport to Reykjavik where our Airbnb was. The second day we took a tour around the Golden Circle which included Gullfoss waterfall, the Geysir geothermal area, and Thingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart. The third day was my birthday and we took a tour of the southern part of the island, which included the black sand beaches and rock formations, touching a glacier, and Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. We ended the day with bread bowls and beer in Reykjavik- it was definitely one of my most memorable birthdays.
Enjoy the photos!
