As an Annapolis engagement photographer, one of my absolute favorite photography locations is Terrapin Nature Park. It offers the perfect mix of natural beauty, stunning views, and diversity of scenery. On this particular summer evening, we were lucky enough to experience a perfect sunset over the water, which made Ashley and Zachary’s engagement session even more special.
I was so excited when Ashley and Zachary suggested Terrapin Nature Park for their Annapolis engagement photos. This location is fabulous because it has a wide variety of scenery and backdrops- from lush greenery and winding nature trails to the picturesque beach with breathtaking views of the iconic Annapolis Bay Bridge. There are endless paths and areas to explore, making it ideal if you’re going for multiple vibes in your engagement session, or can’t decide on nature or beach!
One of the standout features of this location is the view of the Annapolis Bay Bridge, which looks especially stunning just before sunset. This spot is gorgeous at golden hour since the sun sets over the water. You get an amazing warm, romantic glow to elevate your engagement photos.
For this session we started on the nature trails. This gave us the chance to ease into the session and start to get comfortable in front of the camera as we strolled the trails. I always like starting a session like this, because the first few shots can feel a bit uncomfortable if you’re not used to having your photo taken. I promise it gets much easier as we go! I love to chat about your relationship and wedding planning as we walk around, so we can get to know each other better.
We ended the session walking on the beach and wading in the water with no shoes. This made for lots of fun, candid shots!
