Summer Garden Wedding

Eileen and Josh’s Loring-Greenough House wedding in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, MA was a highlight of the summer. The two met while on the campaign trail for the 2012 election, and their love blossomed through road trips and adventures. Their wedding took on the travel theme, with a logo incorporating their initials and a compass, and reception tables named after various places that meant something to them.

We had a beautiful engagement session at the Arnold Arboretum, right down the street from the Loring-Greenough house, and then actually returned to that same spot for portraits on the wedding day. Here’s the link to their Arnold Arboretum engagement.

Eileen and Josh are such a fun-loving and down to earth couple. (My favorite kind!) The day was filled with joy and laughter. It started with getting ready inside the historic mansion. Eileen and her two sisters and friend did each other’s hair and makeup and exchanged gifts. Eileen’s Saja dress was beautiful in its simplicity and timeless. I also love that she wore white lace Toms and her sisters wore rainbow sandals- so perfect for an outdoor summer wedding! Eileen and Josh had a brief but sweet first look in the stairway before the ceremony began in the backyard garden of the mansion. I could tell they were so excited just to be married! The ceremony was officiated by a good friend which was so special. The reception took place under a tent in the yard, with dancing, a slideshow, and giant Jenga. Another highlight for me was the Chicken and Rice guys food truck for dinner! Such a fun idea. It was a truly perfect summer day!

Eileen and Josh- it’s obvious that you two are perfect for each other! Thank you again for letting me be a part of your special day, I loved every minute of it!
