WPPI 2017 Recap

Today I’m sharing a recap of the trip I took to Las Vegas for WPPI 2017. WPPI is a huge wedding and portrait photography conference and expo held every year in Vegas. I had an amazing time learning new techniques, meeting other photographers, and checking out all the latest gear at the expo. I got to hear from some incredible speakers including Jerry Ghionis, Roberto Valenzuela, Cliff Mautner, Dixie Dixon, Melissa Jill, the Youngrens, and Parker Pfister among others. It was such an incredible experience and I’m so glad I went!

Here I’m sharing some photos from the week. First are some photos from the resort style shoot set up by Erik Valind, who gave us some awesome tips for shooting in bright mid-day sun. The next set of photos are from an architecture-focused engagement shoot set up by Collin Pierson, who gave us some great ideas for shooting in not so pretty locations and using architectural elements to our advantage. Then I have some iPhone photos from the expo and out on the strip. I left feeling so inspired and ready to come home and continue to give my business my heart and soul.
