A gorgeous summer tented backyard wedding at home

Megan and Conor chose to have an at-home tented wedding, which I love for the amount that you can truly make the wedding your own and get creative with it. The shades of blue and white incorporated through the decor and hydrangeas were a perfect touch for a summer wedding.

The two each got ready at home in different parts of the house, before the ceremony began in the backyard in front of the gazebo decorated with a beautiful floral installation. As guests arrived they were welcomed with treats and beverages from lemonade and popcorn stands. We took portraits during cocktail hour, and even got to incorporate the couple’s dog into a few shots. The reception under the tent began with intros and a first dance, followed by toasts, dinner, a cake cutting, and dancing. Enjoy some photos from the day!

If you are planning a Maryland tented wedding, they are some of my favorite events to photograph, and I would love to discuss your wedding plans!

ABOUT morgan

I work with couples who are laid-back like me, and whose idea of a perfect wedding day is enjoying themselves, not posing for an elaborate photoshoot.

I'm originally from Duxbury, Massachusetts, a quiet coastal town south of Boston. For 9 years I photographed weddings in between Boston and South Florida, before moving to Baltimore where I now reside with my fiancé, Scott. I now photograph weddings all over Maryland, including in Annapolis and the Eastern Shore.
