Today I’m sharing Dayna and Jason’s intimate Hampshire House wedding. The two were married at the Hampshire House in Boston, a turn-of-the-century mansion on historic Beacon Hill. The couple chose to have only their closest family and friends present, many of whom traveled a great distance to celebrate. Their love story crosses borders as Dayna is from Canada and Jason is from Boston.
The wedding day started with Dayna getting ready in an elegant bridal suite at the Hampshire House with her best girlfriends, her mother, and her mother in law. We had the opportunity to do a sweet first look on the spiral staircase before heading across the street to take portraits in the public garden and around Beacon Hill. The public garden never disappoints for a backdrop, and I love capturing some “classic Boston” shots on the streets of Beacon Hill. Of course, we also had to grab a shot outside the Cheers bar, which is adjacent to the Hampshire House.
The intimate ceremony was held inside the library in front of an ornate fireplace. Dayna and Jason were then able to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests since we had already finished all our portraits ahead of time. The library was then transformed and the small group enjoyed dinner at one long table before dancing.
Dayna and Jason- thank you so much for including me in your special day and entrusting me as your photographer! I had a wonderful time and wish you both the best.
