Michelle and Rich’s Duxbury Bay Maritime School wedding was such a fun day. This wedding was a highlight of the summer for me, since Duxbury is my hometown and I grew up sailing at DBMS. It’s one of my all-time favorite wedding venues. The day started with a beautiful ceremony at Holy Family Church. I loved that the couple’s wedding party was made up of their kids, it was truly a family affair. We went to Bumpus park down the street for bridal party and bride and groom portraits, before returning to Duxbury Bay Maritime School for cocktail hour on the back deck overlooking the harbor. I loved the little nautical touches such as raw oysters served in a wooden boat at cocktail hour. The night proceeded with games and dancing all night at the reception. Michelle and Rich- Thank you for entrusting me to capture your day! I had a wonderful time and wish you and your family all the best.

[…] This Duxbury tented wedding on a private estate was so much fun. Aimee and Paul both grew up in town and went to Duxbury High together, and then actually reconnected later at their 10-year reunion! Aimee got ready at her childhood home, which she had been envisioning since she was a girl. Their first look and portraits were at Bumpus Park on Powder Point. Then off in a vintage car to Holy Family Church for a beautiful ceremony. After that, dinner and dancing under a twinkling Sperry tent at North Hill Country Club. The tables had plenty of hydrangeas and oyster shells (it is Duxbury after all) and the room was stunning! White roses and blue sea holly decorated the wedding cake and guests danced the night away. I also photographed their rehearsal dinner at the gorgeous Duxbury Bay Maritime School. […]
