On their wedding day, Katie, Conor, and their daughter Maeve celebrated with a traditional Irish theme. The South Shore wedding took place the day after St. Patrick’s day, and featured decor clad with deep emerald green, hues of gold, and white lace.
The bride and her bridesmaids started with mimosas at the home of a dear friend as they dressed, laughed, and shared memories. From the house, the girls rode an adorable trolley to each stop of the day. Next stop was the first look! In this intimate back yard setting, Katie and Conor were able to share a few moments before they exchanged vows. Next, the whole party traveled together over to St. Bridget Church in Abington for the ceremony.
The ceremony was stunning with emotional words exchanged in front of the stained glass windows of the church, as family and friends listened from the pews.
The reception was held at the Tirrell Room in Quincy as the sun dropped over the Blue Hills of Milton. Shamrocks and words of love were scattered throughout name cards and decorations and the cake was wrapped in deep emerald with flakes of gold. The south shore wedding closed with great tradition, fun, and family.
I loved Katie’s Claddagh charm adorned on her garter as a beautiful nod to her heritage.
