It’s been months but today I am finally sharing Megha and Patrick’s intimate Falmouth beach wedding. The two hired me to capture their small celebration this past July on the beach in West Falmouth before their large Indian wedding, which would be later on. The beach was just a few strides away from Patrick’s aunt and uncle’s home, and him and his cousins grew up frequenting this Cape Cod beach in the summer.
When I arrived, Megha was inside getting her makeup done by a friend. The property was stunning, with views of the ocean on one side and marsh on the other, and they had brought in tons of sand to cover the pathways for the wedding. We did the first look in the backyard overlooking the marsh. Then it was time for the short walk across a boardwalk, over some rocks, and down the beach to the private ceremony spot. There were only about 14 guests in attendance, and a family member officiated. A hilarious moment was when the two were announced husband and wife and exchanged their first kiss, and then all at once everyone realized we forgot to do the ring exchange! No problem, they exchanged rings and went for another first kiss.
It was the most perfect Cape Cod day, and we had plenty of time to capture stunning portraits overlooking Buzzards Bay. Megha let me know ahead of time that she had one special request- she loved her dress and wanted to make sure we got some shots showing off the back and the flow of the skirts- and that’s exactly what we did!
I had so much fun photographing this intimate Cape Cod wedding. Intimate weddings and elopements are some of my favorite events to capture! Best wishes to Megha and Patrick.
